Dr. Lawrence D. Allen, A native of Dallas, Texas and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL died on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
Dr. Allen was a graduate of Baylor University where he received his Ph.D. He retired as the Dean of the Arts and Science Department of the University of South Alabama.
He is survived by his sister, Janice Allen, Dallas, TX; two daughters, Shelah Allen Bischof and Melinda Allen Poulos (Eric Linsley); one granddaughter, Rebecca Bischof and one great granddaughter, Ava Bischof.
Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 2 PM. Visitation will start at 1 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
