Leades C. "Lee" Rollman Jr., 90, of Congerville, IL, formerly of Springfield, passed away Friday February 8, 2013 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka, IL.
Lee was born in Springfield, September 14, 1922 the son of Leades C. and Velma Nichols Rollman Sr. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana. Lee proudly served in the United States Army and then retired from the Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel.
He married Norma Freitag in 1944 at Ft. Monmouth, NJ and she survives. Also surviving are his son, David (wife Vicki) Rollman of Cape Coral, FL., his daughter, Diane (husband Charles) Schrock of Congerville, IL, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 2 nephews. His parents and a sister preceded him in death.
Lee retired in 1983 from Illinois Bell Telephone Co., (now AT&T) where he served as an engineer for many years. He was a member of Kumler United Methodist Church in Springfield and the VFW Post 755.
Services will be private with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
