Lee E. Ashbrook, 77 of Gahanna, passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2012 while doing what he loved to do best, golf. Funeral services will be 10 AM on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Johnstown, OH with Pastor Richard Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, OH.
Mr. Ashbrook was born on August 1, 1934 in Johnstown, OH to the late Hiram and Lela (Barcus) Ashbrook. He retired after 35 years from North American Rockwell/Boeing. He graduated from Johnstown High School in the class of 1952.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn Ashbrook, nephew, E. David Goedeking (Lori, Emily & Sam) of Austin, TX, niece, Dianna (Barry) Roche of Hide-A-Way Hills, brother, Neil (Jane) Ashbrook, sisters, Martha (LeRoy) Thacker, Suzanne (Jack) Pitzer all of Johnstown, and many beloved nieces , nephews and friends and his pal, Misty.
He loved golf and spending his mornings having coffee at McDonalds in Gahanna with his buddies and couponing. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lee to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM.
