It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Lena passed away peacefully at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital with her family at her side up until the time of her death.
Lena was predeceased by her husband, Frank who passed away on January 25, 2010 and by her sister Rita Cameron and brother Len DeBeeld.
Lena will be lovingly remembered and missed by her four children: Bob (Ruth), Sandra (Peter) Franz, Brian (Dianne), Mark (Marlene); her nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; her brother, John (Val) DeBeeld; her sister, Alice Westaway; and countless friends and extended family.
Lena led a full active life; she was kind, caring and friendly to everyone she met.
Lena had a great pride in her family and loved each of them deeply; Lena was the matriarch of our family and although the void left through her passing will never be filled, her vibrant spirit and the family values she instilled in each of us will live on forever.
A Celebration of Lena's Life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11:00 am at Henderson's Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC, with Major Lynda Richardson officiating.
