Leona June Makinson passed away peacefully January 13, 2013 surrounded by family.
She is survived by her five children, Donna Lee, Wayne, George, Jim (Laura), and Dan (Wendy); six grandchildren, Shawn-Anne, Matthew, Michael, Bradley, Joseph and Catherine; and her sister, Jean Jenkins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eric of 34 years in 2002.
She was very generous and cared deeply for her family and friends. Leona will be greatly missed.
Viewing will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at St. Michael's Parish, 9387 Holmes St., Burnaby, BC. A Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 am.
Burial will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery, 34070 Hazelwood Ave., Abbotsford at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion.
