Leonor S. Badillo, age 73, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 following a lengthy illness. Leonor was born in Loraine, Texas to the late Jose and Maria (Esquivel) Sanchez. She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking for her family and her true passion and joy was singing and dancing.
Leonor was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ramon Badillo. Survivors include her four sons, Raymond, Jr. and his wife Tricia, Angel and his wife Lori, Juan and Richard; one daughter, Geneva Badillo; sisters, Martha Salinas, Epifania Garza, Beda Castro and Erminia Aguilar; grandchildren, Renee, Matthew, Zachary, Jr., Karissa, Hope, Brianna Liz, Anastacia, Gabrealla, Michael, Richie, Anthony, Louis, Brianna, Amaris, Christian and Khingston; great grandchildren, Camden, Myrisa, Myriah and Braiden.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (today), October 13, 2015 at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory Street, from 10am to 9pm with a Rosary Service at 6:30pm and a Prayer Service at 7:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 2525 Westview Drive. Burial will be in the Loraine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Sanchez, David Sanchez, Armando Castro, Robert Garcia, Louis Badillo and Lupe Badillo.

Leonor became a part of my extended family when my Tricia married Raymond. I enjoyed the times I had with her. Because of some help I gave her once when she lived with them for a while, she called me mamacita and she became mommi to me. I will miss her and loved her.
