Lester Albrecht, of Shiner, Texas passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012. He was born in Witting, TX on March 18, 1923 to the late Fritz and Emma (Schreiber) Albrecht. Mr. Albrecht was an Army veteran and served in WW II from March of 1943 to March of 1946. He was married to Allyne (Brunkenhoefer) Albrecht and was employed by Kaspar Wire Works. Lester is preceded in death by his parents and his brother; William Albrecht. He is survived by his wife, Allyne of Shiner, his son; Curtis and wife Nancy Albrecht of Shiner, sister; Irene Berkenhoff of Moravia, one grandchild, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held at Buffington Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 beginning at 5:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM at United Dr. Martin Luther Church in Shiner. Burial will follow in the Shiner Cemetery.
