Lillian Ilean Drinnon Atkins, age 72, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She confessed her faith at Grassy Springs Baptist Church and later was a member of The Country Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Nola Drinnon; and siblings, Kyle, Eugene, and Helen Drinnon. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Marshall Atkins; sisters, Bonnie Hurd, Mary Parker, and Nellie Oliver; brothers, Dewey Drinnon, Carl (Nida) Drinnon, and J. B. Drinnon; and several special nieces and nephews. The family wishes a special thank you to Amedysis Hospice nurse Christine, caring neighbors and friends. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Preacher Terry Cozart and Rev. Donald Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
