Lillie M. "Lil" Adams

February 3, 1936 - March 25, 2011
Lillie Mae "Lil" Adams, 75, of Austin, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2011. She was born February 3, 1936, in Isola, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Mary and Thomas Wright. She proudly served in the U.S. Air Force where she met the love of her life, Dwaine. They were married on December 28, 1958, and had two very beloved sons, Thomas and David.
Lil was successful in several different careers throughout her lifetime and retired from the Visiting Angels organization in 2009 as an elder caregiver. Lil touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor throughout her long life. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Adams, David Adams and his wife, Diane; her much-loved Chihuahua, Buddy, all of Austin; along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 30th of March 2011 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. A graveside service with U. S. Air Force Honors will be held at nine o'clock in the morning on Thursday, the 31st of March 2011, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
