Linda K. Shirley, 60, Rockford, went to Heaven Sunday morning, September 30, 2012. She was born on April 29, 1952 in Rockford to Bill and Lenna (Shickles) Hawks. She was a graduate from Auburn High School.
She was married to Duane Shirley and worked for Warner Lambert/Cadbury Adams for 39 years.
Linda is survived by her husband, Duane Shirley and children, Ronnie Edgecomb, Jennifer (Chris) Linley, Crystal Shirley and Heather Shirley; grandchildren Jarrod, Joshua and Jacob Edgecomb, Logan, Zechariah and Emma Linley and Kaelynn McDaniel; great grandchild Yessenia Edgecomb , brothers; Jim (Lynda) and Bob (Camille) Hawks and sisters; Betty Staab and Helen Tucker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Deloy, Ronnie and Richard Hawks, and Sister Billie Bozart.
Funeral service will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Pastor James Hawks will be officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
