Linwood W. Ipock, Sr., 82, of Vanceboro, passed away on November 11, 2012 at CarolinaEast Medical Center after a short bout with cancer.
Linwood was predeceased by his daughter, Suzanne Ipock.
Linwood is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ann Wiggins Ipock, his son, Linwood W. Ipock, Jr. and wife Louise of Timberlake, NC; grandchildren, Janae Ipock White and husband Ashley; Jennifer Ipock New and husband Paul; four great-grandchildren, Camden, Bella, Emmi, Poppy and Truett New; his sister, Darletha Stephenson and several nieces and nephews.
Linwood owned and operated Ipock Construction for many years and later, Ipock's Store at Beaman's Fork. After retiring, he worked part-time at Billy's Ham and Eggs. Linwood was a member of St. Mary's FWB Church for 59 years and his life reflected his Christian values. He was known for his kindness to all people and his animals and birds. He will be remembered as a man who dedicated his life to his wife and children.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Cotten Chapel.
