ALLAN, Lois P., of Seminole, joined her husband, George, in heaven on April 30. She was born in Pierre, S.D. in 1923. She graduated from Wood High School on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in 1941 and Sioux Valley Hospital School of Nursing, as an R.N. in 1948. She later received both B.S. and M.S. degrees in nursing, with honors. She married her beloved husband, George, in 1950 while he was serving in the USAF and stationed at Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City, S.D. When George retired in 1978, they moved to Seminole. She dedicated her career to caring for others first in serving her country in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps and later as head R.N. in emergency and operating rooms of hospitals and as an instructor of nursing. She retired in 1986 from Bay Pines Veterans Hospital. She was a lifelong Methodist and active member of Oakhurst United Methodist Church where she started a volunteer program serving the elderly and was a member of the Mary/Martha Circle. Lois is survived by daughter Circuit Judge Linda Allan of Seminole and granddaughter Kristen Evers (Jim); daughter Kathleen Moyer (Chris) of Pine Island and grandsons Chris, James and David Moyer; sister Phyllis Moore; brother Edward Lindbloom (Irene); brother Warren Lindbloom (Dorothy); nieces and nephews; and her wonderful dog, Hank, now lovingly cared for by her dear friends Nancy and Harry Lyum. Public visitation is planned for Friday May 3rd from 4:30 to7pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel 13401 Indian Rocks Rd in Largo. Service set for Saturday May 4th at 11:00 at Oakhurst UMC 13400 Park Blvd in Seminole, followed by interment and gathering at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.
