Lola Lee (Mueller) Cameron was born in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, the 15th of November 1916, to parents, Herman and Marguerite (Hayward) Mueller. She passed away in Houston on Sunday, the 27th of January 2013, at the age of 96.
A third generation Houstonian, Lola graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1934. She graduated Business College, and worked for American General Insurance Company before enlisting in the United States Navy in March, 1943.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Frank W. Cameron, USN ret., in 1988. She is survived by her daughter Linda, grandson Justin and wife Kendra and her great granddaughter, Taylor Milligan. Lola will be fondly remembered by nieces Marsha, Pam, Teresa and Dina, caretaker Christine, and Linda's good friends from Spring Branch High School.
Military services, under the aupices of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8790 Honor Guard, were conducted at twelve o'clock noon on Friday, the 1st of February, at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
