RAPPE', Lonnye Joel "L.J.", 71, of Dover, went to his heavenly home on December 16, 2012. He was born in Plant City on January 7, 1941. L.J. was a musician who performed with the Peacemakers Quartet, Deliverance Trio, and the Centurions. He enjoyed his career as a mechanic for General Motors. L. J. was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene Rappe'; and daughter Karen Rappe' Goff. He is survived by Gerri, his devoted wife of 38 years; sons, Joel Rappe' (Angela) and Jason Rappe'; daughters, Katrina Hart (Maurice), Kimberly Collins (Doug), and Rene' Miller; grandchildren; Jacqueline Rappe', Khayla Goff, Haleigh Hart, Kamella Collins, Noah Dooley, Jarrett and Madison Rappe', Alexis Miller, Heather and James Thomas; one great grandson, Kaiden Burnett, an extended family and numerous friends. A visitation will be held 6 -8 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Stowers Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012 at East Thonotosassa Baptist Church, where L.J. was a faithful member. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
