Remembrance for Loren F. Adams
Loren F. Adams of Mossyrock, WA passed away August 10th, 2012 at Providence Saint Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA at the age of 68.
Loren was born on November 23, 1943 in Chehalis, WA to Kenneth and Lois Adams. He graduated from Mossyrock High School in 1962. He attended Centralia College receiving an Associates Degree in Math in 1965. He continued his education in Civil Engineering and Forestry. Loren served two years in the Army National Guard and completed Basic Combat Training in Fort Bliss, Texas and Clerk Course in Ft. Huachuca, AZ. He was registered as a Professional Engineer in Quality Engineering and Concrete Inspector. Places of employment were Tacoma City of Light at the Mossyrock Hydro Dam as a concrete inspector; Dravo Corp at the Wynoochee Dam Montesano, WA as a Surveyor then transferred to the Concrete Inspection Division; Bullards Bar Project, Grass Valley California; Bechtel Corp and Bovee & Crail (Hanford) in the Tri-Cities for 10 years where Loren met and married his wife Janice Stopher of Seattle, later divorced. After moving to Rochester, WA he worked for the Cowlitz Falls Project where he was a Control Inspector for the Fiber Optics Contractors until his retirement.
Loren loved to hunt, fish, and travel. He was a member of the Pasco Masonic Lodge #173 and then transferred to the Robert Morris Lodge #97 (Silver Creek) and is a lifetime member. In 2010, he was the President of the Lewis County Shrine Club. He is also a lifetime member of the Bannack Lodge, #3-7-77 (Bannack, MT). Loren was loved and adored by everyone.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Lynne and James Bieber of Hamilton, Montana; nieces, Ramona and Tara Bieber of Bend, Oregon and many other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life to be held at the Masonic Lodge in Silver Creek, WA on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, Oregon 97239.
