Lucille Bauer, 84, of Spooner entered Heaven's gates on Saturday, August 31, 2013.
Lucille was born October 25, 1928 to Clarence and Beulah Shingledecker in Hastings, MN.
Lucille married Richard Bauer July 12, 1947 in South St. Paul, MN. They also made their home in Hastings, MN, and Webster, WI. Richard died in 1980, and she moved to Spooner eleven years later.
Lucille had "Spunk". In her long working career she covered a range from: secretarial to commercial baking, running a poultry farm, waitressing, managing a lumber mill, assisting at an apple orchard, raising sheep, running a deli, and even a DJ for a radio station!
Lucille was a kind and generous person. She loved her family, friends, growing flowers and watching birds.
Lucille will be dearly missed by her children Larry of Tulsa, OK, Diane of Oshkosh, WI and Richard Jr. (Vickie) of Webster, WI; her grandchildren Katie, David, Melissa, Shauna, Cora, and Jessica; and eight great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, son Gordon, and siblings Glen, Ralph, Margaret and Lois.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sunday, September 8, 2013, at 1pm, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Spooner, WI with Father Ed Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013, from 4-8pm, at the Dahl Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be on Monday, September 9, 2013, at 10am, in the St. John's Cemetery in Webster, WI.
