The funeral for Minnie R. Arnett, 97, of Athens will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Copeland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tom Lewis and Tim Keenum officiating. Burial will be in Copeland Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. Arnett died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at home.
Mrs. Minnie R. Arnett was born Aug. 9, 1914, in Limestone County to Margaret and William H. Richardson. She was an active member, the longest active member of anyone, of the Copeland Presbyterian Church. For several years she belonged to Homemakers of Limestone County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James L. Arnett; five brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include one son, James Ronnie Arnett of Athens; one daughter, Elaine A. Wade of Huntsville; six grandchildren, James D. Arnett, Cassandra Montgomery, Ronda Holland, all of Athens, Brent A. Wade, Mark D. Wade, Curtis E. Wade Jr., all of Huntsville; and nine great-grandchildren.
