Madge retired after 34 years as a Supervisor for the Assembly Rules Committee-California Legislature. She stayed in touch with her co-workers by becoming a member of FLAIRS. She was an active member of St. Ignatius Parishs Altar Society and she received the Diocese of Sacramento Woman of the Year award in 2006. She loved being on their Holiday Boutique Committee until her late 80's.
Madge had many interests and hobbies which included playing Tripoli for over 50 years, being a member of the Raiders Booster Fan Club, making ceramics, painting, traveling by train, cruise lines, (everyone knew she hated to fly), and annual family trips to Aptos during Thanksgiving creating a tradition that will continue for years to come.
The family extends their thanks to the wonderful staff at Mercy McMahon Terrace especially the Nurses and RCA's all of whom she called "her angels". Also special thanks to staff from VITAS (Hospice) and Chaplain Ever Mesa during this time of need.
