Maggie Lee Barrett
Maggie Barrett of Union City died peacefully on September 15th. Born on October 28th, 1917, Maggie was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jack Barrett and her son John Melville Barrett. She is survived by her daughter Greer Towner, her brother, JB Eidson, grandchildren and great grandchildren . Maggie was an accomplished seamstress, and dearly loved entertaining and hosting others more than anything. She was a long time and beloved member of Bethany Primitive Baptist Church where she touched so many lives with her hospitality and grace. Maggie was a beautiful lady inside and out with twinkling eyes, infectious giggles, and curls in her hair all through her 94 years of life. She will be deeply missed by so many.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 18, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home, with Elder Gus Harter officiating. Interment will follow in Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
