Malinda Margaret Watson

February 13, 1921 - December 2, 2012
Malinda Watson, 91, passed away at a local hospital surrounded by family on Dec. 2, 2012.
Funeral services will be 10 am, Wed. Dec. 5, 2012 at Trinity at Badger Ranch with the Rev. James Menke officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6pm-8pm Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.
Malinda was born Feb. 13, 1921 to Rosie (Hruska) and Henry Albrecht in Lyons, Texas. She grew up in the Clifton area and after her marriage to Allie Watson on Oct. 16, 1944, they settled in Waco. She was a homemaker taking care of her family and in her later years she worked with the Braille program at Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Allie W. Watson; brothers, Leo, Raymond, and Alton and granddaughter, Elizabeth Mitchell McCullough.
Survivors include daughters Beverly Schlemmer and husband James and Linda Mitchell and husband Randy; son, Kenneth Watson and wife Patsy; grandchildren, Kimberly Barker and husband Rob, Kristie Walsh and husband Lee, and Jonathan Mitchell; great-grandchildren Katherine McCullough, Dustin McCullough, Tyler Barker, and Reagan Walsh; sisters, Lillie Bernhardt of Clifton and Marjorie Fulton and husband Herbert of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity at Badger Ranch, Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home, Susan G. Komen Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
