On Sunday, January 6, 2013, Manuel Martinez, 85, of San Antonio went to be with the Lord and reunite with his deceased wife, Martha Martinez. He was born on January 12, 1927. Manuel proudly served his country in the Untied States Army and battled in WWII and the Korean War. He and his wife were married for 62 years. Manuel is survived by daughter and son in law Velma and Henry Rodriguez, son and daughter in law Daniel and Patsy Martinez, daughter Eloisa Martinez and, son Richard Martinez; grandchildren Erica Baum, Christopher Rodriguez, Jason Martinez, and Amanda Martinez; great grandchildren, Gizelle Rodriguez, Isabella Martinez, and Elijah Martinez. A visitation will begin, Wednesday, January 9, 2013, 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. A rosary will be recited, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A procession will depart the funeral home, Friday, January 11, 2013 at 9:20 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, with interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
