Devoted – Loving daughter who cared for her mother throughout her mother's life. Peg also was a sister, an aunt and a friend who loved unconditionally and who did not shy away from voicing her opinion, whether or not she agreed.
Pioneer – A career IBM professional when women were more often found in support and administrative roles, Peg took her intelligence, Barnard education and abundance of common sense and applied them to help her customers and employer solve problems on the front lines of the computing revolution.
Loyal – Lifelong friend to her classmates at Barnard, IBM, and her church. If Peg made you a friend, you were a friend for life.
Tireless – Volunteer who knew that God wanted her to give of her time to help the church, the sick and the dying. Peg believed that the rewards for her work came from the new friends she made. When she was no longer physically capable of helping she continued her support financially, but never told anyone.
Intrepid – She loved traveling. She loved the journey and being taken out of her comfort zone. The more exotic the locale the better, especially if she shared the experience with friends and loved ones.
Grateful – Helped in the last few years by caregivers who quickly became members of Peg's family and inner circle. She understood and appreciated the often immense effort involved.
Missed - …by legions of friends. Peg, thank you for everything. We will remember you always.
