Margaret Galloway Palmer, a longtime resident of Mobile died on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Palmer was born August 16, 1921 in Clarksville, Arkansas. She was Worthy Past Matron of The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 348 and Treasurer for several years. She enjoyed over 29 years working at the Alabama Power Company and was a longtime member of the Energizers. After retirement she enjoyed traveling abroad and later within the United States. Her joys in life were her family, friends and church, Spring Hill Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Jackson Galloway and Myrtle Smith Galloway and three brothers, Ronald, Byram and William. Survivors include two daughters, Dianne (Tom) Lathan of Sebec, Maine, Betsy (Bill) Zundel of Mobile, AL; four grandsons, Thomas Lathan, Timothy (Arlene) Lathan, Bill (Brittany) Zundel, Jeffery (Margaret) Zundel; five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff of Murray House Assisted Living, Mercy Hospice and her doctor, Dr. Thomas McGee.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Spring Hill Baptist Church on January 24 at 11:00 AM with visitation preceding the service at 10:30.

Interment will at Pine Crest Cemetery.
