Margie S. Bass
COLUMBIA, SC-Margie S. Bass, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2011. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel on Bush River Road. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of South Carolina, 508 Hampton Street, Suite 200, Columbia, South Carolina 29201.
Mrs. Bass was a long time member of St. Andrews Baptist Church and a 55 year resident of the St. Andrews Community. She enjoyed golf, bowling and her wonderful friends. She was a loving wife to Robert "Bob" W. Bass and a loving mother to her two sons, Robert W. Bass, Jr. and Carter N. Bass.
Mrs. Bass is survived by her husband; two sons; sister, Joyce Woodell Crabtree and her husband Garland Crabtree; granddaughters, Ali Sprouse and her husband Jimmy Sprouse, Tina Jeffcoat and her husband Gene Jeffcoat and Tami Bass; and three great granddaughters, Trista Bass, Tanna Holt and Aubri Eliza Spouse. Mrs. Bass was predeceased by her parents, Freddie Carter Stell and Ola Richards Stell; and her brother, Freddie Stell.
