Margie Allison Harmon, 90, of Virginia Beach, VA formerly of Old Fort, NC and Hickory, NC died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mrs. Harmon was born May 29, 1922 in McDowell County, NC to the late J. Fred Allison and Essie Griffin Allison. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hickory, NC.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Harmon, Jr.
Surviving Mrs. Harmon are one son, Samuel Douglas Harmon, Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA; one daughter, Sharon Elaine Harmon of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister, Jean Creekmore of Old Fort, NC; four grandchildren, Douglas Harmon of Virginia Beach, VA, Dr. Kristin Greifer of Atlanta, GA, Lee Vlahos of Raleigh, NC and Steve Winston of Virginia Beach, VA; and four great-grandchildren, Sarah Greifer of Atlanta, GA, Jacob Greifer of Atlanta, GA, George Vlahos of Raleigh, NC and Rylie Winston of Virginia Beach, VA.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at McDowell Memorial Park.
