14 years, 4793 days, 1 battle. February 17, 2012 mark the day we lost our strongest fighter, caring mother, loving sister and amazing friend. Maria Eugenia Altamirano Lugo was invited to the house of our creator on the afternoon of February 17, 2012, she passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Maria Eugenia was the loving mother of Yasser Ali and Yassmin Mariam Jose Altamirano Abidian. Maria Eugenia was born in San Carlos, Nicaragua and was raised in Granada, Nicaragua. Predeceased by her parents Esteban and Graciela (Lugo Lacayo) Altamirano, her loving grand mother Maria Engracia and her older brother Rolando Jose.
Maria Eugenia grew up with her siblings, Rolando (deceased), Reyna, Maria Elena, Maria Auxiliadora, Graciela, Esteban, Mario, Ligia, and Connie. Maria Eugenia was a very kind and friendly person, always willing to help others in anyway she could. Her smile will always be remembered, Maria will be dearly missed by her sisters, brothers, sisters-in law, brothers-in law, nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Dear lord, eternity is not enough to thank you for the immensity of your love and mercy. Thank you for blessing us with such beautiful being who taught us through her brave fight what true love is.
