Maria Natalia (Correia) Amaral, age 77, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Manuel Amaral to whom she has been married for the past 57 years.
Born in Ponta Delgada, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel and Teresa (Camara) Correia, she came to the United States in June of 1978. She was a devout communicant Espirito Santo Church and attended its' prayer group. She also worked in the Garment Industry for many years.
Surviving in addition to her husband, ten daughters; Natalia daSilva and Paula Salvador both of Canada, MaryJo Jose and, Theresa Bernado both of Fall River, Filomena Teixeira of Plymouth, Lucy Amaral of Dighton, Marylou Medeiros, Helena Amaral, Sonia Amaral, Elisabeth C. Amaral and one son; Carlos Amaral all of Fall River, 24 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two brothers; Jose Luis Correia of Florida, and Manuel Correia of New Bedford and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother Carlos M. and Sandra Amaral and sister of the late Maria Jose Ferreira and Carlos M. Correia.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 9:30AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St. Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM in Espirito Santo Church, 311 Alden St. Fall River. Visiting hours Monday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. Burial will be St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
