Marian A. Baker, 84, of Laurens, passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 21, 2012.
She was born on December 12, 1927 in Queens, New York the daughter of the late George and Eleanor (Carroll) Ladley. She married William S. Baker on March 17, 1948 and he predeceased her on October 2, 2009.
Marian lived on Long Island until moving to Oneonta in 1975. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was very devoted to her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, William J. Baker of Oneonta, her daughters, Barbara A. Ramierez of Ocala, Florida and Nancy J. Dalton of Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stacey, Kimberley, William, Teri-Ann, Christine, Mariann, Stephen, Liam, Isabelle, Gabrielle, Sophia, and Miguel, and great grandchildren, Briegha, Shayla, Wesley and Karmella; her brother, William Ladley of Connecticut.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta, New York.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at St. Mary's Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta, New York. Interment will follow at the Laurens Village Cemetery, Laurens, New York.
