Marie Edith Piedalue, 75, of Greeley, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. Marie was born on May 3, 1939 in Treece, Kansas to Jack D. and Ethel V. (Smith) Green.
Marie moved to Roggen, Colorado in 1945 and then to Greeley in 1953. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1957.
Marie married Edward Piedalue at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Greeley on December 26, 1960.
She was a farm wife and mother until her children were out of school. She then worked as a secretary for Interstate Aviation and Community Advantage until she retired due to her health.
Marie was a member of Women at St. Mary's, a Girl Scout leader, 4-H leader and volunteered for RSVP. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Marie is survived by two daughters, Susan Pantier (Charles) and Sally Piedalue and one granddaughter, Annie Pantier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ethel Green, her husband, Edward Piedalue, son, Robert Piedalue and two brothers, Ervin and Jack Green.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
