Martha "Marty" Ray Barnes, 72, of New Site passed away on Wednesday, November, 28, 2012 at North MS Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a member of the East Prentiss Baptist Church and a housewife.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Friday, November 30, 2012 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ken Bishop and Bro. Dewayne Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the East Prentiss Cemetery.
She is survived by her mother, Ruby Moore of New Site; two sons, Terry (Phyllis) Barnes of Tupelo and Garry (Cindy) Barnes of Marietta; two sisters, Yvonne (Paul) Mayo and Sandra Harris both of New Site; 1 grandson, Jeremy (Ashli) Barnes, 3 granddaughters, Alanah Barnes, Alexandria Barnes and Taylor Barnes; 3 great grandchildren, Jack Barnes, Madelyn Sun Barnes, and Bently Barnes.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ray Moore.
Visitation will be from 5-9 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2012 and until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Jeremy Barnes, Dennis Mayo, Dylan Shook, Scotty Mayo, Rickey Stanley and Danny Mayo.
Honorary pallbearers: Paul Ray Chaffin, Paul Mayo, C.T. Moore, Jamie Chaffin, Dale Michael, Steve Taylor and Richard Denson.
