Mary Lou Williams, age 80, of Pensacola, FL went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Mary Lou was born on July 10, 1933 to the late Carl and Nealie Hurst. She was a faithful, lifelong member of Beulah Baptist Church where she loved singing in the choir. She also volunteered as Church Secretary and was a Youth Director for many years. One of the joys of her life was the opportunity to visit the Holy Land twice. Mary Lou was a cancer survivor of 41 years. She was blessed with a loving and close-knit family.
Besides her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by a sister, Willie Mae Duck and two brothers, John and William Carl.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 57 years, Clyde; two brothers, Douglas Hurst and Donald (Margaret) Hurst; three sisters, Bobbie (Bob) Bernard, Bonnie (Don) Wright and Phyllis Hurst, as well as many nieces, nephews and life-long friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be at 1PM Monday, May 12, 2014 at Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Freeman officiating and Rev. Buddy Boles assisting. Interment will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mary Lou's Youth Group will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.
