Mary Jewell Abercrombie, age 90, of Roswell, died August 15, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, after 59 years of marriage. She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Hardeman and Dorothy Franklin, four children, Julia Anderson, Elaine (Charles) Booker, Charlotte (Donald) Hayes and Sonny (Angie) Abercrombie. A large part of her legacy is 8 grandchildren, Mark (Melanie) Booker, Mandy (Brannon) Gravitt, Chip (Jennifer) Green, Lisa (John) Murphy, Ashley Gaze, Melanie (Nate) Shean, Lindsay Abercrombie and Carmen Rice. She is also survived by 7 great grand children. Jewell was a homemaker and was an avid gardener serving as President of her Roswell garden club, member of Homemakers Club, a wonderful southern cook, and was truly a southern Gentlewoman. Funeral services will be held on August 20, 2012 at Roswell Funeral Home Chapel on Mansell Road, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery. The Abercrombie family will receive visitors on Sunday 19, 2012 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M..
