ABERNATHY, MARY ELIZABETH BADGETT, 86, formerly of Louisville passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at her residence in Virginia.
She was a retired secretary for the Reeves Brothers Textile Mill Co. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Virgil "Woody" Abernathy.
She is survived by her nieces, Sandra Gillespie and Peggy Crowder; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be held noon Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10a.m.-noon Wednesday.
