Mary Curtis Alexander, age 82 passed away Friday December 24, 2010 at Jackson Oaks Sr. Living Community in Jackson, Tennessee.
God called our Mimi home on December 24, 2010. We can see the smiles and laughter as she was greeted by Maurice Curtis, husband of thirty-five years. Mary loved those around her unconditionally with her whole being. She frequently told her family that they were her life. We will all cherish our memories of her sewing, cooking, drawing, and just rocking each of us as we grew up. We know she will be the first in line to greet us in heaven.
Mary was born December 26, 1927. She is preceded in death by her husband Maurice, her brother Douglas and her sister Ruth Reed. She leaves behind her daughter Linda Parsons and husband Tony of Jackson, Tennessee, brother Carl Smith and wife Faye of Pulaski, Tennessee, her "Mimi Love" will be missed by three grandchildren that she took as her own, their spouses, and nine great grandchildren. May Mary's life encourage us all to be the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be Monday December 27, 2010 from 10 until 2 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Chapel with burial in Maplewood Cemetery.
