Mary Ann Angerstein passed away November 16, 2012 with family at her side. She was born June 9th in Stockton to John and Birdie
Fitzgerald. Mary attended McKinley Elementary, Stockton High School and Humphreys
Business College. After college she worked at the State Employment Dept. In January 1946 she married Henry Angerstein and they moved to his home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mary created a home there and had many close friends. She enjoyed family picnics at Whitnall Park and traveling throughout the United States on summer vacations. She was active in Eastern Star and the E.U.B. Church in Milwaukee. She and Henry raised two daughters Karen and Denise. Upon Henry's parents passing they returned to Stockton where Mary lived the rest of her life. Mary was employed at San Joaquin Delta College from 1965 thru 1980 and upon retirement became involved with Senior Peer Counseling thru San Joaquin County and also with the Central United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her home, gardening, reading and being with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry, her parents, her brother John Fitzgerald and her beloved golden retriever "Angel". She leaves behind her daughters Karen (Robert Freeman) and Denise, her nephew Dean Fitzgerald and niece Jennifer Fitzgerald.
Mom, you were the best mother we could have had. You always made us your first priority and we always knew you loved us. We will try to be good girls.
Visitation: Tuesday, November 20, 4-8 p.m. and Service: Wednesday, November 21, 1 p.m. at Frisbee-Warren & Carroll Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to Hospice of San Joaquin or the charity of choice.
