Mary LaVerne Anthes, age 92, passed away on December 21, 2010 in Richardson, TX. She was born on August 6, 1918 in Chicago, IL. She is survived by her daughter, Jean O'Donnell and husband John; son, Louis Anthes; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Anthes. LaVerne was in experimental television during the 1930's. She enjoyed playing piano and was an excellent pianist. LaVerne raised her children in Toledo and Cleveland, OH. After her husband's death in 1982, she resided in Las Vegas for many years. While in Las Vegas, LaVerne worked for the Convention Bureau and had multiple pursuits. She will be dearly missed by her loving family. A Prayer Service will be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery.
