Mary L. Barnes (Grammie), 101, beloved mother and devoted grandmother, of Shark River Hills, (formerly from Wall Township) passed away peacefully Thursday morning at the Medicenter in Neptune City.
Mary was born December 22, 1909 in Brooklyn, NY. She married her husband William in 1938. Mary was a homemaker and served as a secretary in many churches throughout New Jersey. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan. Mary was known for her kind nature, love of her family and friends as well as her love of animals.
Mary is survived by her daughter Linda, grandson Michael and his wife Sejal, her brother George, nieces Barbara and Deborah, nephews Ronald, William and Charles, several other Great nieces and nephews as well as "her little puppy" Casper.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 3:00 pm to 6:00pm at the Neary Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, NJ.
