Mary Ellen Barton Bessler, 67, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at her home in Booneville. She was born March 5, 1943, to Dewey and Mary Eaker. She was a homemaker, and loved animals especially her three dogs, Chachi, Sweetie and Jazy.
A visitation service will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 27, 2010, at McMillan Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
She is survived by her husband, Francis "Frank" E. Bessler; three daughters, Theresa (Tim) Austin of Mt. Vernon, IL, Belyn (Terry) Pierce of Tupelo, and LaNae (Jeff) Marier of Douglasville, GA; two sons, Tony (Delbert Beckwith) Castillo of Birmingham, AL, and Chris (Shannon) Castillo of Grey Court, SC; four sisters, Dorma Mueller, Wilma Jene Butler, Lorene Cox, all of IL, and Lettie Simmons of MO; several step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a husband, Lindell Barton; her parents; three brothers, Junior Eaker, Ray Eaker, and Warren Eaker; and one sister, Velma Angel.
