Mary Summerville Watkins entered this life on April 24, 1926 in Huntly, Virginia she was one of eight children of the late William and Mary Wells Robinson. She graduated from Cardozo High School in Washington, DC. She was happily married for 44 years to James Edward Watkins when he went to be with the Lord in 1988. She was a member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, DC. She had two passions her church and her family of numerous nieces and nephews, and her niece and caretaker, Mary McClees.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert O. Robinson, Reverend William N. Robinson, Eugene A. Robinson, Josephine Sessoms, Eleanor Jordan, and Helen Driver, and Mamie Roberts.
