Maryann Allen (nee McCaffery) of Aurora, Ontario passed away peacefully at 80 years of age after
a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Maryann who was born in Calgary, Alberta is survived
by her loving husband, Douglas Allen, her children, Reginald McLean (Mary), Mary Jo Williams
(Andy), Michael Allen (Jill) and her 7 grandchildren, Joseph, Christopher (Amanda), Trevor,
Margaret, Kathleen, Ashleigh and Holly. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph McLean and
her parents John Murray and Beatrice McCaffery (Malone), all of Calgary.
The family would like to extend its sincere thanks to every nurse and personal support worker, too
numerous to mention, at Bloomington Cove Nursing Home in Stouffville for their generous and
compassionate care.
Visitation will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home at 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora on
Sunday, November 27 in the afternoon between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church at 15347 Yonge Street, Aurora on Monday,
November 28 at 11:00 a.m.
