Matthew Thomas Hatch was born on February 20, 1986 in Mobile, Alabama and departed this life on Saturday, May 5, 2012 in Auburn, Alabama.
Matthew, a native Mobilian, grew up as a member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church, and graduated from Davidson High School with academic honors in 2004. Upon graduation, Matthew joined the United States Army where he proudly served achieving Distinguished Honor Graduate and the rank of Specialist in Electronic Device Repair. He was currently attending college working on a degree in Civil Engineering. Matt enjoyed entertaining his friends cooking, singing, playing his guitar, and writing music.
Matt is survived by his mother, Ann Breedlove Kennedy of Mobile; his identical twin brother, Michael Thomas Hatch (Mackenzie), U.S. Navy; sisters, Michelle Hatch Hinds (Nathaniel) of Pensacola, FL and Valerie Lee Hatch of Mobile; and grandmother, Shirley Kern of Mobile.
The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 9, 2012, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Mobile Memorial Gardens, Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10:00 am following a 45 minute visitation time. If desired, donations may be given in his honor to the Sav-a-Life, Mobile Inc. 308 S. Sage Ave.
