Maureen was born on August 28, 1947 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the daughter of Marinus and Geneva (Sheppard) Aalbers.
Maureen Aalbers was united in marriage to Jim Abbott in Scott County.
She was a self employed house cleaner and home health care provider. She loved spending time with her family and playing Euchre. She was a devoted mother and loved her pets. She was a member of the Davenport VFW Auxiliary Post 828 and the Davenport Moose.
She is survived by her husband Jim of Davenport; one son Michael (Robin) Dudley, Davenport; grandchildren Bryce Mendez, California; sisters Jackie McElroy, Ottumwa, Iowa and Janet (John) Richards, Ottumwa, Iowa; and brother Richard (Pam) Aalbers, Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Johnny, niece Buffy, nephew Gary Jr., and good friends Ronald Thompson and Babe Denger.
