Maxine Baker Baird, age 80, of Brentwood, TN, passed away, on November 3, 2012. Maxine was born on the seventeenth of October in 1932, to the late Scoba and Ethleen Baker. Mrs. Baird was the oldest of twelve children. She was a graduate of Gordonsville High School. Maxine married Fred Donald Bair in June of 1953. She worked in the insurance industry in Nashville for 40 years. Maxine’s love for people and gift of hospitality led her to a second career working special events with the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and Gaylord Opryland. She was a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. Maxine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who saw the good in people. Mrs. Baird is survived by her loving husband Fred Donald Baird, Sr., children, Janie (David) Domico, of Brentwood, TN and Donnie Baird, Jr., of Nashville, TN, grandchildren, Tiffany and Aaron Baird, of Nashville, TN, and Victoria Domico, of Brentwood, TN, great-grandchildren, Tatiana and Mariana Wilson, of Nashville, TN, six sisters and two brothers. A visitation will be held at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 5112 Raywood Ln. Nashville, TN 37211, from twelve o’clock until two o’clock on Friday, November 9, 2012. A memorial celebration will be conducted following the visitation at 2 o’clock of Friday at Hillcrest United Methodist Church. A private entombment will take place in Brentwood United Methodist Church Columbarium. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the Sandy Bay Lighthouse Ministries in Roatan, Honduras, 19 Mave Ln. Candler, NC 28715, or to the Hillcrest United Methodist Church.
