Korean War Veteran and recipient of the British Empire Medal.
Passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2013. Beloved husband of Lillian. Loving father of Richard, Sharon, Senna (Rob Laraby), Tammy (Troy Graham), and Janet Smith. Cherished Papa of Brandon, Taylor, Johnny (Marivick), Jenny, Sierra, Ziggy, Noah, Evan, Brandon and Sammy. Brother of Kenneth (Diania), Ronny (Sinikka). Also fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and all those who called him Uncle Mel. Special thanks to Dr. Milankov and the Palliative Care Team at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their care and support. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, January 28th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Tuesday, January 29th from 11:00 am until time of Service in the Chapel at 1:00 pm. Private interment Thornton Cemetery. Donations to Evan Graham's Tribute Fund at the Hospital for SickKids would be appreciated.
