Melvin "Pappy" Joseph Albarado passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
Loving and devoted father of Gary A. Albarado, Sharon A. Shoemake (Terry), Chris D. Albarado, Sr. (Edie), Marilyn A. Guidry (Kenny), Malissa A. Gilbert (Ronnie) and the late Tommy M. Albarado.
Loving Grandfather of 20 grandchildren and Great Grandfather of 17 great grandchildren.
Son of the late Camilia Cavalier Albarado and Sidney Albarado.
Brother of Maude Boudreaux, Ida Pollet, Melva Landry, Wilson Albarado and the late Clinton, Clifton, LeRoy, Vivian Albarado, Frances Boudreaux and Odilia Mabile.
"Pappy" was also survived by his loving longtime companion, Rita Plaisance and her two children; Joseph and Joetta.
Age 77, a native of Belle Rose, Louisiana and a resident of Westwego.
He was also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Relative and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and also on Saturday from 9:00 am until funeral time. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
