Michael "Mike" Stanley Blount, 65, passed away on January 8, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Mullins officiating. The family will greet friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Blount was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Lynwood and Mildred McCullough Blount. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. He served in the United States Air Force and was retired from Robins Force Base. Mr. Blount was a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church and a past governor of the Moose Lodge #1688 in Warner Robins.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Smith Blount of Warner Robins, son, James (Sharon) Brinson, Sr. of Macon, grandchildren, James (Dawn) Brinson, Jr. of Macon, and Jessica Brinson of Macon, great grandchild, Hailey Brinson of Macon, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
