Michael "Mike" Moran Adam, Jr. entered peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 following a brief illness. Michael was born on July 3, 1928. He was a resident of New Orleans for seventy-eight years and a resident of Metairie for the last five years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael, Sr. and Clara Ruppel Adam.
"Mike" is survived by his dear cousins and caregivers, Regina Taylor Todaro, Peggy Todaro Tauzler and Janice Todaro Miller (Vollie). He is also survived by numerous loving relatives and friends.
He and his parents owned and operated Adam's Double Dip Ice Cream Parlor in uptown New Orleans until 1960.
He was a member and usher of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name Society. He also took pleasure in participating in the many radio broadcasts of the Holy Rosary. He was also a member of the AARP Lakeshore Chapter 3902.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 631 State St. New Orleans, LA on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:30 am. Visitation from 10:00 am until funeral time. Interment in St. Vincent no 1, 1950 Soniat St. New Orleans, LA.
