Mr. Michael "Puppy" Albanese Jr, age 48 died Tuesday at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Albany, GA and had lived in Statesboro since 1979. He loved cooking for others, making candles and tie dyed clothes, and had a great love for animals. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Albanese and Timmy Albanese.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Deal Albanese; his step-children, Bridgette Hodges and Jacob Hodges; his mother and step father, Patricia and Ron McCormick, all of Statesboro; his father, Michal Joseph Albanese, Sr. of Okinawa, Japan; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Austin and Miriam Deal of Statesboro; his brothers, Tony Albanese of Statesboro, David True of Minneapolis, MN ; his sister, Cacinda Walker of Calhoun, GA; his grandson, Jace Hodges of Statesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
