Michael J. Berg, age 65, of Holly; passed away peacefully on July 20, 2011. Michael was the owner of Berg Brothers Siding Contractors in Holly. He was a devoted family man and cherished his time with them. Michael also enjoyed tinkering and creating things as well as his love for old cars and motorcycles, where he was a member of the Half Breeds Motorcycle Club of Detroit. He was very outgoing and loved meeting new people. He will be sadly missed. Dear son of Betty (Jim) Ryan and the late Albert Berg; beloved husband of 43 years to Sherrie; proud father of Scott (Myong-suk) Berg of Korea, Craig Berg and his partner John Lafoy of St. Louis, MO, Dr. Kevin Berg and his partner Ron Sirvent of New Jersey, Michelle (Graeme) Baar of Holly; dear grandfather of Ruben, Devin, Jasmine, Angela; brother of David (Ruth) Berg;, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. The Funeral Service will be Monday, July 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. The visitations hours will be on Saturday 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service; cremation will follow.
