Michael Griffith, 62 of Sidney formerly of Lima, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Thursday morning, January 24, 2013 at the Sidney Care Center in Sidney, Ohio. He was born on September 1, 1950 in Lima to Calvin Eugene Griffith and Mattie Lou Webb and they preceded him in death.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Chevon T. Booker, (Tony) of Los Angeles, California, his brothers, Calvin Griffith, III (Cynthia), Kendal V. Ward of Lima, Carlton W. Griffith, (Blonda) of Ft Washington, MD, and a sister, Linda McGee (Jay). He also leaves many other family members and close friends.
Michael was a welder by trade. He was an Army veteran serving in Vietnam.
Along with his parents, his stepfather, William T. Webb and his stepmother, Catherine E. Griffith, 1 brother, Rickmond E. Griffith, preceded him in death.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Ward, officiating. Funeral Services will be held at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the funeral at Woodlawn Cemetery where there will be Military Graveside Rites by VFW Post 1275.
Family and friends may come on Monday, January 28 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
